A Long Weekend in Boston

Here is the long awaited itinerary from my trip to Boston. I had an amazing time and thanks to my followers, I was able to visit some of the must-sees in Boston during my 4 day trip. I actually got so many suggestions that I didn’t have time to visit them all so I added a bonus list of Boston restaurants!

Did I mention that it snowed during my April trip? Even though the weather was crazy and I wasn’t dressed for it, I had an amazing time. Shoutout to my best friend Donald and his dog for coming along with me.

Here’s a look at everything that I did (and ate)!

Thursday Night: Encore

My first stop was the Encore Casino for dinner reservations at Mystique. Whether you want to gamble or just eat and shop, I recommend visiting Encore. This casino is gorgeous and has an old school Atlantic City feel.

Mystique was one of the best dining experiences of my 23 years. This was due to our amazing waitress, Gabrielle. She gave us even more restaurant recommendations and made our drinks extra strong. We dined on pork belly, homemade lo mein, and lychee martinis.

Friday: ICA & Little Italy

Friday was the day that is snowed so that put a slight wrench in our plans but we made the most of it. Our first stop was the The Institute of Contemporary Art. Not only do they have amazing art instillations, they also have great views of the water. It’s a cool spot that would probably be even better on a sunny spring day.

Next, we took an Uber to walk around North End a.k.a. Little Italy. Our beloved waitress recommended Modern Pastry and I’m so glad she did. The desserts here are to die for and the prices make it even better. This is a cash only spot so make sure to visit an ATM before you go in.

After we gorged on sweets, we visited Lucia Ristorante for some authentic Italian food. I had an amazing appetizer called Carrozza and it’s basically a huge mozzarella stick filled with both cheese and fresh prosciutto. They also had a seafood special so definitely always ask about the specials! This place is family-owned and you can tell in the food and the warm service.

Saturday: Back Bay & South End

We woke up early and had brunch at Lincoln’s Tavern & Restaurant. All of the brunch choices are outstanding here and the brisket burrito was really a 10/10.

We shopped along Newbury Street and visited stores like Nike, Zara, Urban Outfitters, and Muji. Then we made our way to South End to shop on Tremont Street. Here we visited a small plant store called niche and The Wine Emporium.

For dinner we visited Barcelona Wine Bar and enjoyed Spanish tapas and delicious cocktails. Every small plate that we ordered was delicious and packed with tons of flavor. I especially recommend the Guns & Roses cocktail, the mussels, and the spicy beef empanadas.

For drinks we wanted to go to a speakeasy called Offsuit but when we showed up they were booked for the whole night, We did find the right door though so if you want to get into the speakeasy just let me know and I can give better instructions. We ended up visiting a bright, quirky cocktail bar called Roxeanne’s. Their salt & pepper chicken wings and fries made the perfect drunk meal. The drinks are strong and the music and vibes are immaculate.

Sunday: Prudential Center

For Sunday brunch we went back to North End to dine at Parla. While they only have a few seats, the staff are so nice and fun. They are the type to take shots with customers so you already know how the vibes are. From here we stopped at Pauli’s for a classic lobster roll.

After brunch we walked around Boston Public Garden and Boston Common and it was gorgeous. It honestly looked like a scene from a painting and the locals that we met there were so nice. Then we headed to Copley Square. The library is closed on Sundays but if you have the time I definitely recommend visiting the Boston Public Library.

For a late lunch, we walked back to Prudential Center and dined at Earl’s Kitchen. Everything we had here was amazing and the ambiance makes the dining experience even better.

After a well deserved nap, we finished out our trip with a late dinner at Citrus & Salt. This restaurant is Instagrammable to say the least and features cute pink walls, twinkly lights, and a beachy Baja vibe. We ordered brisket tacos, blue crab taquitos, churros, and a gigantic skull full of liquor.

Overall, Boston was charming and full of things to do. Even with the snowy weather, I really enjoyed my weekend away. I’m already planning another weekend trip because I feel like I barely scratched the surface on what Boston has to offer.

Like I mentioned before, there were so many food spots that I didn’t get a chance to visit. Don’t worry, I devoted a whole blog post to them. Remember to tag me in you end up visiting any of these places so I can see how you enjoy it!
