Cinnamon Rolls with Orange Hennessy Glaze

Ingredients

Cinnamon Rolls

1 8-pack can of refrigerator biscuits
2 tablespoon butter, melted
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Glaze

1/2 of an orange
2-3 tablespoons of Hennessey
1 1/2 or 2 cups confectioners sugar

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees
2. Open the biscuits and separate them. Leave them out at room temperature for 15 minutes
3. Place each biscuits side by side with the sides touching each other, then press and pinch together. Using a rolling pin or large cylinder shaped object (I used a bottle of tequila), roll out the biscuits until flat and the dough is in the shape of a rectangle, it’s ok if the sides are uneven.
4. Using a pastry brush, apply the 2 tablespoons of butter over the top of the entire piece of dough. In a small bowl, mix together the sugars and the cinnamon. Sprinkle over the buttered dough until covered.
5. Roll up the dough, beginning from one of the short ends.
6. Use a sharp knife, slice the dough into 1-inch pieces. I was able to make about 8 pieces.
7. Place rolls in a lightly greased cake pan or oven-safe dish. Bake for 18 to 20 minutes or until golden brown.

Glaze
1. Pour the Hennessey into a small bowl. Add the juice and zest from the orange half.
2. Whisk together the confectioners sugar and the liquid until a glaze has formed.
3. Pour or brush the glaze onto the warm cinnamon buns.
