The Only Curaçao Itinerary You'll Ever Need: 5 Day Curaçao Itinerary

Truthfully, Curaçao might be my favorite place that I have ever visited so far. I had the pleasure of visiting with a group of friends in March 2022. Curaçao is a Dutch Caribbean island located near its sister islands: Aruba and Bonaire.

What makes Curaçao so amazing and feel like a true paradise is the culture. The food is so fresh and I didn’t have one bad meal. The people are from diverse backgrounds and they speak English, Spanish, Portuguese, and their own language Papiamento.

Above anything else, the people are what made our experience so outstanding. Our tour guide/villa owner Rafa showed us his island and treated us like family. Our driver Joy was the same way — he was always available to give us a ride or restaurant recommendation.

Wondering what to do in this beautiful, colorful country? Check out our itinerary below!

Day 1: Welcome dinner

Day 2: Boat day

  • Day long boat trip to Klein (Little Curaçao)

    • Just FYI the waters are rough when heading to the island and it’s a 90 minute ride. Calm waters coming back and although a few of us got sea sick (including me), it was worth it!

  • Dinner and drinks in Pietermaai

Day 3: Exploring Willemstad

Day 4: Beach club hopping

Day 5: Preparing to leave

Tips & Reminders

  1. There is no ride sharing on the island so renting a car or getting a driver is a must

  2. There are 4+ languages spoken on the island but the majority of people do speak English

  3. The exchange rate of USD to ANG is $1 to $1.80 so you can really splurge here!

  4. Bring a converter for the outlets because they vary in terms of what type they are
