Favorite DC Restaurants this Fall

The seasons have changed from a steamy DC summer to a chilly autumn almost overnight. It’s time to bundle up and enjoy some comfort food with your family and friends. Here are my favorite places to dine around DC during these cooler months.

Irregardless

For a taste of this season’s best flavors, check out the newest wine bar on H Street. Irregardless has a tasting menu and extensive wine list that is perfect for an intimate date night or family meal.

Hoja Taqueria

Speaking of intimate, this hidden gem is tucked away in the Generator Washington DC hotel. They offer delicious Mexican cuisine and have a cozy, unique ambiance that makes you feel like you’ve been transported to a lounge in Mexico.

Ghostburger

Although one of my favorite places, Espita, has closed its doors — I’m glad that something equally good has taken its place. Ghostburger really delivery the cheesy, meaty comfort food that is perfect for a cold November night.

City Sliders

Since walking around Georgetown is a quintessential fall activity, you’ll need somewhere to eat. Bundle up and grab a few (for 5) sliders from City Sliders. From lamb to buffalo chicken, brisket to fish — this place literally has everything.

The Pembroke

Estuary

Located in the Conrad Hotel, Estuary has always been a favorite of mine. The views and design of the restaurant and definitely Instagrammable. Beyond that, the food is exquisite from the smash burger to the more decadent short ribs. Please take your significant other here for a date — it is so romantic and your pictures will look amazing.
