Christmas Kitchen Sink Cookies

If The Grinch’s dog, Max, was left to his own devices, this is the type of crazy concoction that he would create. These cookies are packed with chocolate chips, M&M’s, pretzels, toffee, and sprinkled with flaky sea salt on top. Perfect for dessert-lovers that like a little salty with their sweet. Feel free to make these in advance and freeze the dough.

Ingredients

1 cup butter, softened
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 egg
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup dark chocolate disks
1/2 cup milk chocolate chips or chunks
1/2 M&M’s
3/4 cup chopped pretzels
1/2 cup toffee bits
1/2 teaspoon flaky sea salt

Directions

1, Heat your oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, mix together the butter, sugars, vanilla, and egg with an electric hand mixer until light and fluffy. Gradually stir in flour, baking soda, and salt. The dough will begin to stiffen. Stir in chocolate, M&M’s, pretzels, and toffee. Allow dough to cool in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
2. Place cookies in 1/4 cup rounded balls of dough on an ungreased cookie sheet. Slightly flatten the top of the dough ball with your thumb or the back of a spoon. Sprinkle flakey salt onto the top of each dough ball.
3. Bake the cookies for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are golden brown. Cool for 7 minutes on a cooling rack before serving.
