I adore the Founding Farmers restaurant kingdom. This farm-to-table concept began with Founding Farmers (a play on Founding Fathers) and has since led to the development of Farmers and Distillers, Founding Spirits, and Farmers Fishers Bakers.

All of the restaurants created by the Founding Farmers team have amazing lunch and dinner menus and uniquely fresh cocktails. However, Farmers Fishers Bakers is a step above the rest because of their brunch buffet. If you want to stuff yourself full of delicious food in preparation for your winter hibernation, this is the perfect place. Located on the bank of the Potomac River, Farmers Fishers Bakers is one of the best brunch experiences in DC. When I say that this is an all-you-can-eat brunch, I truly mean it. By the end of it, you will want for nothing because all your every desire has been fulfilled.

Fresh popped kettle corn, honey pot fried chicken, carving stations with pork belly and brisket, breakfast jambalaya, and huge french toast sticks with bananas foster topping are just a FEW of my favorites from the buffet. Beyond the buffet, the servers walk around with trays of pizza, hand-rolled sushi, fried shrimp, and cinnamon rolls to add to your overflowing plate. The best part about this is that unlike most buffets, everything is hot, fresh and delicious. You will leave this brunch full but the fresh, farm-to-table ingredients ensure that you are full of good things and not processed garbage.

While this is not a bottomless brunch, the cocktails at Farmers Fishers Bakers really pack a punch. They have punch bowls that are full of freshly made juice and sparkling cava. Another favorite is their extensive list of premium teas and drip coffee. For $33, this place is a brunch-goer’s paradise.

The Overall Tea:

I love this restaurant but especially recommend it for brunch. You will get your money’s worth and then some and the knowledgeable servers only enhance the experience. Try everything and let me know what your favorites are.
