Amo Milano: 48 Hour Milan Itinerary
/My ever first international solo trip was to Milan, Italy and I feel like I picked the perfect place. I was only there for two days but I tried to see as much as I could. I flew to Milan with no real plans so I was able to ask people that I met along the way for recommendations and stumble upon hidden gems myself. I know that makes some people very anxious but depending on the location that is sometimes the best way to travel.

Milan Travel Tips
If you are flying into MXP, the Uber or Taxi will cost about 100 euros so I recommend taking the bus that costs 10 euros.
As a Black woman traveling alone, I was extremely vigilant and cautious. Although I personally did not experience any racism during my time there, multiple solo travelers have reported experiencing discrimination and micro-aggressions (staring, impolite exchanges, etc.) during their time in Italy. Just stay vigilant!
